Although the results may not always be measurable, the prayers of God’s children accomplish much. I believe that! I recognize that without a heavy prayer covering, this ministry will be less effective. Without heartfelt prayer, the power and anointing for our ministry will not flow as God intends it to. It is my desire to see God move in full power at every ministry opportunity He brings our way. I am not satisfied with a trickle of His power, I want nothing less than His mighty rushing river.

Fruity Pebble Story
I don’t imagine I will ever forget that night. There I lay trembling in my bed, while I cried out in desperation to God. Little could I tell that He was lying right there with me, ready to give a promise that would both bring me comfort and put a smile on my face time and time again.
A few weeks prior to this tossing and turning experience, I had resigned my position as a youth pastor to step into full-time evangelism. Now without a penny in the bank and one paycheck away from what appeared to be shear poverty, I found myself in a storm screaming out, “Don’t you care if we all drown?”
The response back from God was somewhat comical, but I will never get over how suddenly it calmed my personal storm of fear and doubt.
God told me to lean over my wife to take a look at my youngest son Kaleb, who that night had made a pallet on the floor next to our bed. As I leaned over Robin, I wondered what God was up to. Once I looked upon the face of my child, it was clear that God was getting ready to ambush me with a modern day parable.
God said, “Homer, why can’t you sleep like that? Does he have fear in his heart? Does it look like your son is the least bit concerned? Do you think he is worried that tomorrow morning when he wakes up there won’t be any Fruity Pebbles in the pantry?” As I looked at the lack of concern on Kaleb’s face, the only answer I had was, “No.” With that, God proceeded. “Homer, he’s not concerned about the Fruity Pebbles because he trusts his daddy. He knows you love him and he knows that you know that he likes Fruity Pebbles. Go to sleep and trust me as your daddy to take care of the Fruity Pebbles.”
That was it. My heart was settled and I drifted off to sleep in the arms of my daddy. It wasn’t long after this night that God revealed His plan of provision. His plan was people. He directed me to ask for help at every church and event He sent me to. He said that He would prompt people’s hearts to partner with Battle Cry. The next thing I knew, God was sending ordinary people like you to help put Fruity Pebbles in my pantry. Has He prompted you to help? Can you afford a box or two of Fruity Pebbles per month? If so, pray about what He should have you do, respond in obedience and be blessed.
