Homer's statement of faith is nothing more and nothing less than the Word of God. The doctrine that he follows falls between Genesis 1:1 and Revelation 22:21. This statement may seem a bit ambiguous, but Homer cannot limit the power of God to a few pieces of paper and some crafty penmanship. He believes that the entire Bible is the inerrant Word of God and relies on that Word to provide guidance to his ministry through the direction of God's Holy Spirit. He stands on the truth that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, who was crucified because of our sins and rose from the dead in order to give us the security of eternal life with God in heaven. The focus of his message and ministry is Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Homer's objective is to lift up the name of Jesus and watch people fall passionately in love with Him. Just as important as it is for him to see people come to know Christ personally, he has an overwhelming burden to challenge Christians in serving Jesus like a King rather than a mere peasant. You can be assured of one thing; Homer loves Jesus more than he loves his life. That is not just a shallow statement; it is the cry of his heart. This philosophy is his Battle Cry!
